Multiple crashes close portion of I-80
Traffic was backed up for more than five miles after a multiple vehicle crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 80, at milemarker 230 near the Iowa-Johnson County border.
The initial crash happened at about 4 p.m.
Police say one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Johnson County emergency responders were dispatched to the eastbound lane of I-80 near the 230 mile-marker around 4 p.m. Sunday for a report of a possible accident involving 10 vehicles.
