Multi-vehicle crashes snarling traffic on Interstate 380, Interstate 80
UPDATE: Cedar Rapids police said a traffic delay caused by a several-vehicle accident on northbound Interstate 380 is expected to be resolved soon.
At least four vehicles were involved in the crash, which was reported around 12:40 p.m. near the Seventh Street NE overpass.
At 1:40 p.m., traffic was still down to one lane as the freeway twists past St. Luke's Hospital. Northbound traffic was stopped for 1 ½ miles back to the Diagonal Drive exit, as heavy snow continued to fall.
Sgt. Michael Wallerstedt said no serious injuries were reported in the incident.
Another crash, on Interstate 80 near West Branch, was reported around 12:45 pm. and also reportedly involves numerous vehicles, including at least one semi.
