Mount Vernon man hurt in rollover crash near Central City
CENTRAL CITY - A Mount Vernon man was injured Sunday morning in a rollover crash south of Central City.
According to the Linn County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle driven by Daniel P. Cotterill, 45, of Mount Vernon was northbound on Highway 13 at Bunker Hill Road, just south of Central City, at 6:14 a.m. Cotterill lost control of the vehicle, which then entered the east ditch and rolled over several times, coming to rest on its top.
Cotterill was taken by Lifeguard helicopter to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City for what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
