A Toddville man remains in the intensive care unit after a weekend motorcycle crash on Interstate 380, police said.
Brian Ries, 19, was thrown off the I-380 bridge when his motorcycle struck a guardrail just before the Seventh Street exit on Sunday afternoon, police said. The bike stayed on the roadway, but Ries went over the railing and landed on a grassy area below the northbound lanes.
He was initially listed in critical condition after the crash, police said. Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said Ries was still recuperating from serious injuries in the ICU. His official medical condition was not being released, a hospital spokesman said.
Police are still investigating what caused the accident.
