The cold snap may be over, but Eastern Iowa is in line to get white again today, with as much as 3 inches of snow possible in some areas.
Snow is expected to start falling sometime after noon today, with flakes likely by mid-afternoon, according to KCRG-TV9 First Alert Storm Team meteorologist Kaj O'Mara.
Roads will likely become slick with the snow, which is expected to be wetter than normal. Winds should be light, though, so blowing snow isn't expected to be a factor, O'Mara says.
Snow may linger into early Tuesday. But there's good news on the horizon -- temperatures may actually climb above freezing by Thursday.
