POLLINATOR CONVERSION — Devoting 1,000 acres of public land for urban pollinator zones — wildflower-rich prairie attractive to bees and butterflies — doesn't happen very often. That could be why Cedar Rapids officials have been getting calls from near and far from community organizations, government leaders and national media for information about the 1,000 Acre Pollinator Initiative, which began last year and is hitting full swing this spring. SHOW OF SUPPORT AT MOSQUE — About 400 people traveled to Cedar Rapids' Mother Mosque on Sunday to form a circle around the building and show their support for Muslims. The event was organized in part by Erin Bustin of Grinnell. HAWKEYES' PRO DAY — The now for Greg Mabin and a bunch of Hawkeyes is pro day Monday morning at the Hansen Performance Center. A handful of Hawkeyes, including cornerback Desmond King, defensive tackle Jaleel Johnson, tight end George Kittle and quarterback C.J.
