MJ Kamin grabs big lead in C.R. women's golf city amatuer

CEDAR RAPIDS — MJ Kamin took a commanding lead after the first day of the Cedar Rapids Women's Golf Amatuer on Friday at Twin Pines Golf Course.

Kaim — a former Washington prep who plays for Iowa State — shot a 4-under 69, and is eight strokes up on the field going into the final day. Julie Buerman, Sierra Hargens and Sarah Olberding all shot 77 and are eight strokes back.

Lora Winter leads the Senior Division after shooting an 81 Friday.
