A Marion man missing since Jan. 16 was found dead Monday by a dog walker in rural Linn County, police said.
Theodore “Ted” Wolf, 83, was last seen driving a red 2018 Ford Edge Titanium. He left his home Jan. 16 without his cellphone, and would have been headed toward Lisbon, via Highway 13 and Highway 30, for an appointment.
He never arrived at his appointment. Police announced last week they discovered he had stopped that day for gas at a BP station in Walford and was spotted on surveillance video at 4:42 p.m. Jan. 16 heading northbound on Highway 151.
Police did not say where Wolf and his car were found, but said it was a “significant distance” from the road and “obscured in some trees.” A person walking a dog discovered the body and called authorities.
Police said there were no signs of foul play, but did not announce a cause of death.
