Missing Linn County jail inmate returns

A Linn County inmate, who went missing during while on his work release program, is now back in custody.
The Linn County Sheriff's Office said Clifton Johnson, 40, did not return to the county correctional center at 1 p.m. Saturday, as he was supposed to.
Investigators put out information on Johnson's disappearance and the Sheriff's Office says Johnson turned himself in to Cedar Rapids police on Saturday night at about 10:30.
Johnson is serving a 35-day sentence for contempt of court.
