Minor injuries reported in car crash near Prairie High School
CEDAR RAPIDS – Police said minor injuries were reported when two cars collided Friday morning near the entrance to Prairie High School.
One of the cars ran off ther road after the collision around 8:45 a.m. on 76th Avenue SW. Police said a grandfather and his granddaughter, who is a student at Prairie, were in the car. Both were taken to Mercy Medical Center to be checked over, police said.
Another student was driving the other car, police said.
An investigation was continuing to determine what caused the crash.
