Colin Behr was taken to a local hospital after he ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle Monday afternoon at County Home Road and Winslow Road north of Marion, the Linn County Sheriff's Office said.
Behr, 17, of Marion, was driving north on Winslow Road just after 2 p.m. when he failed to stop for the sign at the intersection, the sheriff's report said. His sport-utility vehicle struck a pickup driven by Patrick Magner, 57, of Cedar Rapids.
Magner, who was towing a utility trailer, was driving west.
Behr was taken to St. Luke's Hospital with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries. Information on his condition wasn't released Monday. Magner declined medical treatment at the scene.
Behr was cited for failing to obey a stop sign.
