Marion man charged with sexual abuse involving 13-year-old girl
A Marion man faces sex abuse charges after he allegedly had sex with a 13-year-old girl.
Justin D. Cable, 19, of 4537 Surrey Ct., has been charged with third-degree sexual abuse in Linn County District Court. He is accused of having intercourse with the girl at his residence on at least two different occasions between Feb. 17 and March 1.
Marion police Lt. Scott Elam said police learned about the incident when the girl and her father came to the police station. She and Cable had met on Facebook, police said.
A no contact order has been issued between Cable and the girl, according to online court records.
Cable was booked at the Linn County Jail, but was no longer in custody Thursday afternoon.
