Involta, a Marion-based managed information technology, cloud computing and data center services company, will open its eighth facility on March 5 in Boise, Idaho.
The 31,400-square-foot secure and redundant multitenant data center will be the company's second facility in Boise. The climate-controlled building can accommodate 300 high-density cabinets of data and information technology infrastructure for health care organizations, businesses, government and educational institutions.
Multiple anchor tenants have already leased space in the facility. At full build-out, the data center space will house 600 cabinets.
'The vibrant technology and business climate in Boise made this facility possible,” said Bruce Lehrman, Involta founder and CEO.
In July 2014, Involta announced a $50 million round of equity financing with M/C Partners of Boston and Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners. The company's growth has been accelerated with the Involta CompliantCloud services platform, comprising infrastructure, storage, network backup and recovery services housed in its data centers.
With a 157 percent three-year growth rate, Involta garnered a spot on the 2014 Inc. 5000 list of America's Fastest Growing Companies. The company, founded in 2007, has more than 50 employees and operates additional data centers in Iowa, Ohio, Minnesota, and Arizona.
