A Marengo woman faces multiple charges after Linn County officials say she led offers on a high-speed chase that ended in a collision with another vehicle south of Walford Saturday night.
A news release from the Linn County Sheriff's Office says a sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a car for speeding along Highway 151 in Walford at 10:23 p.m. Saturday. The driver, later identified as Sandra Fisher, 55, of Marengo, failed to stop and led the deputy on a chase south on Highway 151 and into Benton and Iowa counties, at speeds reaching 70 mph. The chase ended when Fisher's car struck the rear of a truck driven by Andrew Schachtle, 19, of Marengo.

Fisher was arrested and faces charges of operating while intoxicated, attempting to elude and other charges. She was taken to the Linn County Jail.
The incident remains under investigation.
