Police arrested a Manchester man twice in four days after he allegedly tried to break into a house and later threatened to kill officers.
Jeremy Thibadeau, 25, faces several charges, including going armed with intent, intimidation with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a felon and third-degree burglary after two separate incidents.
Officers first arrested Thibadeau on Thursday when they were called to a residence about a person trying to break into a house. Witnesses said Thibadeau was trying to push into the house while threatening to assault the residents, according to a news release from the Manchester Police Department.
Thibadeau was taken to the Delaware County Jail. Around 1 a.m. Sunday, police were told about a person making threats to kill police officers. Witnesses told them a person in the group had a handgun in the downtown area.
Officers who responded to the scene found three people running away on South Franklin Street. Police caught up to the three men, and said Thibadeau had a loaded semi-automatic pistol in his possession.
Also arrested were Dustin Hienrichs, 26, and Nicholas Geuther, 21, both of Manchester. Hienrichs was charged with public intoxication and Geuther was cited for carrying a concealed weapon and interference with official acts.
Police learned Geuther had possession of the handgun before Thibadeau took it from him. Initially, Guether gave police false information.
All three men were taken to the Delaware County Jail.
