Manchester attempted murder trial reset

The attempted murder trial of a 32-year-old man who tried to cut open his father's chest to remove a pacemaker was reset today to May 5 in Delaware County District Court.
Jesse Fierstine, of rural Manchester, is charged with attempted murder and willful injury in the April 25 incident. Fierstine allegedly hit Charles Fierstine, 63, in the head with a flashlight and a piece of firewood before using a pocketknife to cut his pacemaker from his chest.
