Man with possible Alzheimer's reported missing in Cedar Rapids

Police are investigating after a 62-year-old man was reported missing this afternoon.

Terry Frana was last seen around 8:30 a.m. Monday at his residence, 1608 Morris Ave. NW. Frana mentioned he was going to get a newspaper, but did not return. Family called police around 1 p.m. to report him missing.

Sgt. Denni Randall said Frana may have early-onset Alzheimer's disease, but has not been diagnosed by a doctor. Family members told police Frana is sometimes forgetful, but it was unusual that he wouldn't return.

Randall said Frana did not take his keys or cell phone with him.

Frana is a white male and was last seen wearing jeans, boots, a brown stocking hat and a brown Carhartt coat, police said. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police at (319) 286-5491.
