The Fairfield man who escaped from UIHC wearing nothing but a hospital gown last December was sentenced to 10 years in Prison Monday.
In December, Anthony Koehlhoeffer, 2o, was transported by Jefferson County Sheriff's deputies to UIHC. After an MD at the hospital signed an agreement to take custody of Koehlhoeffer the deputies left and Keohlhoeffer escaped. Police said he then stole two cars in the Iowa City area, before forcing a woman to drive him to the Quad Cities. He was eventually arrested after a two county police chase, which ended after he crashed a third stolen car in Bettendorf.
According to the Quad City Times Koehlhoeffer pleadguilty to charges of robbery, theft and eluding. Monday's sentence is a result of charges in Scott County. Johnson County Attorney Janet Lyness said she expects to file charges on Koehlohoeffer at a later date.
Jefferson County Attorney, Tim Dille, said Koehlhoeffer is still facing charges in Jefferson County from an earlier robbery charge.
