CEDAR RAPIDS - A man suspected of firing a single shot inside an Iowa City apartment early Tuesday morning was arrested Wednesday by Cedar Rapids police.
A release from public safety spokesperson Greg Buelow said 28-year-old Diamond Wilson was taken into custody around 8:30 p.m. at the Cedarwood Hills Apartments complex, 2010 Glass Road NE.
He was wanted on a warrant for intimidation with a dangerous weapon for firing a shot during an argument around 2:37 a.m. Tuesday in an apartment in the 1900 block of Broadway Street in Iowa City. At the time, police said Wilson was believed to be armed and dangerous. Officers searched the area, but were unable to find him.
Wilson was transferred to law enforcement in Johnson County, according to Buelow.
