Man struck by car while trying to cross I-380
NORTH LIBERTY - A Cedar Rapids man who stopped to help someone else -- is hurt after a crash on I-380.
Just before 4:30 Saturday afternoon, the Iowa State Patrol says Joseph Christensen, 43, was traveling southbound when he pulled over to help someone in another vehicle in the northbound lane.
Troopers say when Christensen ran across the interstate to help that person he was hit by a car, driven by Brandy Clemons, 28, of Cedar Rapids.
Christensen was taken to an Iowa City hospital. His condition has not been released.
