Man stabbed multiple times in Iowa City

IOWA CITY – A man was stabbed multiple times in Iowa City last night and the investigation is underway by local police.
At 10:43 p.m. last night, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office received a cell phone call from a person saying he had been stabbed but he didn't know where he was. Dispatchers were able to use the cell phone signal to get a general location near the intersection of Linn and Court streets.
Iowa City officers responded and found the man in the 500 block of South Linn Street. The male, who was not identified, was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment.
Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering a reward of up to $1000 for information leading to the arrest of this suspect. Anyone with information about this crime is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477).
No other information was released.
