Man seriously hurt in Oxford Junction motorcycle crash

Emergency crews had to airlift a man to the hospital after a motorcycle crash Saturday.
The Jones County Sheriff's Office says John McAndrew, 51, of Delmar, crashed after swerving to avoid a deer. It happened around 4 p.m. Saturday on County Road E45 in Oxford Junction, west of Highway 136.
Responders airlifted McAndrew to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. His condition was not immediately available.
