A man accused of trying to rob a Burlington bank with a hairbrush has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Fifty-six-year-old Jodie Johnson was convicted in December of second-degree robbery in the holdup at Farmers Saving Bank. He was sentenced on Tuesday in Des Moines County District Court.
Johnson was accused of going into the bank last September, where he concealed his face with a towel and wrapped another towel around a hairbrush.
Johnson was subdued by bank employees and customers.
