Police walking out of an emergency room early Wednesday met a man and woman covered in blood, but when they asked him what happened, the man said it was “none of their business.”
The officers, who had been at Mercy Medical Center on an unrelated call, noticed the man and woman around 1 a.m. They later learned that the 20-year-old man had stab wounds to his chest and one of his arms.
His injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin, a police spokeswoman, said the man would not say where the stabbing happened or anything else.
Hamblin said without cooperation from the victim or a desire to pursue charges, it's unlikely anyone will be arrested.
