N/A
Aug. 13, 2010 4:25 pm
One man was sent to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident around 2:45 p.m. Friday in a busy downtown intersection.
Police said the accident occurred when a man driving a westbound vehicle on First Avenue collided with a truck that was northbound on First Street W. The driver of the westbound vehicle was transported to St. Luke's Hospital for what police described as non-life threatening injuries.
The airbags of that man's vehicle were deployed and the car was towed away from the scene. Police at the scene said the injured man was cited for disobeying a traffic signal.
The driver of the truck said he wasn't injured, and drove away from the scene after cooperating with police.
