A man was taken to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics after his car collided with a semi-truck Wednesday night.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the southbound lane of Interstate 380, just south of the intersection of Interstate 80 around 5 p.m. for a report of a car vs. semi. Emergency crews found a car had collided with the side of the trailer of the semi-truck after losing control.
Police said the man, whose name and age could not be verified, was driving in the right hand lane of the highway when he lost control of his vehicle. His car veered into a guard rail on the right side of the road before the man steered back onto the highway and hit the semi which was in the left hand lane.
The man was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, police said.
