Man hospitalized with injuries after fall from downtown Cedar Rapids building
He was seen hanging over edge of old Skogman Building on First Avenue

CEDAR RAPIDS — A man has life-threatening injuries after falling from a downtown building Sunday night, police said.
Cedar Rapids police said dispatchers received a report at 11:29 p.m. of a man hanging over the edge of a building at 411 First Ave. SE, known as the Old Skogman Building or the Palmer Building.
Officers arrived to see the man holding on to the side of the building and then falling to the ground. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police could not say what the man was doing at the building. The investigation is ongoing, they said.
