Man found dead in Lake Macbride identified

SOLON — A man who was found dead in Lake Macbride last week has been identified by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office as Cesar Garcia-Pelico, 34, of Cedar Rapids.
The man’s body was found Thursday afternoon, after 911 callers reported someone had jumped into the water and not resurfaced. First responders were called at 3:04 p.m. Thursday, and Garcia-Pelico’s body was recovered at 4:19 p.m.
The death remains under investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, according to a news release from the office.
