UPDATE: A Marion man was arrested Wednesday after police said he intentionally rammed a dump truck into a pickup driven by his wife.
Adam Ruiz, 28, of 2751 Regal Court, was charged with domestic assault with a weapon after the incident. No one was hurt in the crash.
Around 1:20 p.m. Wednesday, a witness reported a hit-and-run near Sixth Street and 58th Avenue SW. Police met with Ruiz' wife and determined Ruiz caused the crash by crossing the center line.
Police said Ruiz was driving a truck owned by a construction company. The crash caused damage to the right front quarter panel and fender on the pickup driven by his wife.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said Ruiz called police and he was located at Highway 30 and C Street SW. She said Ruiz claimed he was just trying to get his wife to stop.
Ruiz, who also goes by Adan Ruiz, was taken to the Linn County Jail. A no-contact order has been issued, according to online court records.
