Police said three women accused an Iowa City man of trying to offer them money in exchange for sex acts Sunday.
LeRoy D. Clark, 31, of 428 Southgate Ave., has been charged with prostitution, according to a criminal complaint filed in Linn County District Court. Clark is accused of soliciting the women in the 1500 block of Washington Avenue SE in Cedar Rapids.
Cedar Rapids police Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said officers were dispatched to the area around 11:45 a.m. when a caller reported a man in a car asking women if they wanted to make money.
Clark was located in the area and was identified by three witnesses, police said.
"The only thing he said when we approached him was that he thought we were there to talk to him about a disagreement he had with a female," Hamblin said.
Police arrested Clark and took him to the Linn County Jail. He has since been released on bond.
