Linn-Mar puts construction projects out for bid
MARION - The Linn-Mar school board voted Monday to put four key construction projects out for bids.
The largest project is a six-classroom addition at Westfield Elementary School. The school is one of several in the district facing capacity issues due to increasing enrollment.
Other projects include renovation of the kitchen at Linn-Mar High School, expansion of the cafeteria at Oak Ridge Middle School and security-related changes to the entrance at Excelsior Middle School.
Bid deadline for all four projects is March 3.
Following administrative review, bids could be forwarded to the school board for action at its March 7 meeting.
