Linn County Sheriff’s Office seeking info on man on motorcycle who led deputies on high speed chase

The Linn County Sheriff's Office is looking for the public's assistance in identifying a motorcyclist who led a sheriff's deputies on a high-speed chase Monday night that started in Palo and looped around Center Point before the chase was terminated near Cedar Rapids.
According to a media release from the Linn County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the motorcycle is believed by investigators to have been part of a larger group of motorcyclists that came out of Cedar Rapids traveling at high speeds westbound on Highway 100. As the man was stopped, the others fled the area on Covington Road.
The sheriff's office notes in the release that the pursuit started in Palo at roughly 10:30 p.m. The high-speed chase then lasted several minutes, as the motorcyclist led the chasing sheriff's deputy north to Center Point, back south on Interstate 380, then west through Toddville and Palo, before heading south on Covington Road. According to the release, the deputy terminated his pursuit near the area of Stoney Point Road and 16th Ave SW.
According to the release, the motorcycle deputies were attempting to stop was a black sports bike of unknown make and model, with no license plate. The motorcycle was driven by a white male with a black helmet and blue t-shirt, according to the release, with the release having markings identified as being an 'American Fighter Athletic Division” t-shirt.
