Linn County Sheriff’s Office searching for man who failed to return from work release Thursday

The Linn County Sheriff's Office is looking for the public's assistance in locating an inmate who they say failed to return to jail after being given a work release Thursday.

According to a sheriff's office media release, after his work release Dino Woods, 57, was supposed to have returned to the Linn County Correctional Center at 5 p.m. Thursday, which he failed to do.

Woods is serving a 60-day mittimus for contempt of court, according to the release.

Woods is described in the release as being a black male, five foot, six inches in height and weighing 185 pounds.

Authorities are asking that anyone who knows the whereabouts of Woods to call the Linn County Sheriff's Office at 319-892-6100 or the Cedar Rapids Police Department at 319-286-5491.
