Linn County Jail inmate on the loose

The Linn County Sheriff's Office is looking for Jason Mally, who failed to return to jail while on work release.
Mally, 32, was allowed to leave the jail at 9 a.m. Tuesday for a job search with the condition he return by 3:30 p.m., but failed to do so, according to a notice issued by the sheriff's office.
Mally was sentenced to 90 days in jail Aug, 19 for violating the terms of his probation on a May 18 guilty plea on a charge of second-offense domestic assault. He listed a Fairview address when arrested in June 2008 for assaulting a woman at a southwest Cedar Rapids address.
Anyone with information on Mally's whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office at 892-6100.
