CEDAR RAPIDS – A Linn County sheriff's deputy is on paid administrative leave after an alleged hit-and-run incident, officials said.
James Crawford, 50, of Anamosa, was ticketed for leaving the scene of an accident (damage to vehicle) and failure to stop within the assured clear distance, according to the citations issued after the incident.
The citations were written at 6:50 p.m. May 9 at the corner of 10th Street and Indian Creek Road. Crawford was driving his 2008 Ford pickup.
