CORALVILLE - Kohl's will unveil the new look of its remodeled Coralville store on March 25, part of the retailer's plan to upgrade about 100 stores this year.
Depending on the location, the Menomonee Falls, Wis., department store chain said the remodeling will include redesigned home and junior's departments, updated children's, jewelry and shoe departments, updated fitting rooms and new merchandise displays to highlight trends. Shoppers also will see an updated customer service desk and check-out stations as well as remodeled restrooms.
The 84,000-square-foot Kohl's at 2795 Commerce Dr. opened in 2001.
Kohl's also has remodeled its store at 5911 University Ave. in Cedar Falls. The company plans to remodel about 18 percent more stores this year than it did in 2010.
Kohl's operates 1,097 stores in 49 states. The retailer recently opened nine stores in seven states – Illinois, New York, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin – and plans to open 40 new stores in 2011.
