CEDAR RAPIDS - The Cedar Rapids Kernels placed catcher Michael Quesada on the disabled list Friday and received catcher B.K. Santy from Minnesota Twins extended spring training.
Quesada has a right wrist contusion, the result of being hit with a pitch in a game Wednesday night against South Bend. He is hitting .185 in nine games, with three RBIs.
Santy, 23, was a 30th-round draft pick of the Twins in 2012 out of the University of Washington. He hit .256 with 12 RBIs in 23 games lasts season for Rookie-level Elizabethton and .296 in 19 games in 2012 for the Gulf Coast League Twins.
