Authorities say four juveniles who escaped from a juvenile detention center near Waterloo after assaulting a worker have been caught.
They escaped from the North Iowa Detention Center Saturday night.
Black Hawk County Sheriff Tony Thompson says all four were back in custody within three hours after a chase by several law enforcement agencies.
Thompson says three boys and a girl, ages 15 to 17, overpowered a staffer and obtained the keys to the front door.
The detention center is a holding facility for juveniles charged with a crime. Thompson says the four teens will now be charged with escape from custody and assault while participating in a felony.
The Associated Press doesn't name juveniles charged in a crime.
