IOWA CITY – You can get a new furry friend for a good deal this month at the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center.
This is the busiest time of year for the shelter, and it's currently “overflowing with animals,” according to a news release, so it's offering half price on all animals older than 1 year.
The promotion runs through July 31.
The center is also seeking foster homes to take animals for a few weeks until there is more space in the shelter, according to the release.
For more information on the foster care program or on adopting a pet, call (319) 356-5295, or stop by
the shelter at 4852 Sand Rd. SE between 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.
