Joni Ernst gets Reagan endorsement

DES MOINES - Ronald Reagan's son has stepped into the middle of the Iowa Republican U.S. Senate race.
Michael Reagan has endorsed Sen. Joni Ernst of Red Oak for the GOP nomination for the seat held by the retiring Sen. Tom Harkin. Ernst is in a five-way race for the nomination to face presumptive Democratic nominee U.S. Rep. Bruce Braley of Waterloo.
'As a mother, soldier and proven conservative, Joni is exactly what we need more of in Washington - an unselfish public servant who has put her community, state and nation ahead of her own interests and comforts,” said Reagan, the president of the Reagan Legacy Foundation and an author and speaker.
