DES MOINES - U.S. Rep. Steve King now has the endorsement of both of Iowa's U.S. senators in his bid for the GOP nomination for an eighth term.
Sen. Joni Ernst, a freshman from Red Oak, joined six-term Sen. Chuck Grassley in endorsing King, who is being challenged by State Sen. Rick Bertrand of Sioux City.
King, she said, 'stands strong for life and liberty,” including support of military serving overseas as well as when they return home.
She also cited his support for the completion of U.S. Highway 20 in western Iowa for safety and business growth as well as his support of renewable fuels and the fuel blender tax credit as well.
'Steve is a friend to small businesses in our Iowa towns and the agriculture industry that helps drive our state,” Ernst said.
King also has the endorsement of Iowa Ag Secretary Bill Northey.
