IOWA CITY -Deputies continue to investigate a stolen vehicle that was found in a ravine in Iowa City.
Just after 2 p.m. Tuesday, two deputies responded to a report of a car found on its top, roughly 20-feet down in a ravine near Oak Crest Hill Rd. SE, just southeast of Ryersons Woods.
Big 10 Towing managed to drag the green Chevy Lumina, with Johnson County plates, free from the ditch. The car appeared to be a total loss.
No word on whether the car was purposely ditched there. Deputies are unsure how long it was in that location, but the car was reported stolen in October, Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek said.
