Iowa State to announce finalists for president next week
AMES, Iowa (AP) - Iowa State University will announce the finalists for the president's job next week.
The Des Moines Register says search committee co-chairman Labh Hira says the Ames university will release the list on Monday, three days before the first public meeting on campus for candidates.
The search committee must select three to five candidates to visit ISU for public meetings.
32 candidates have applied for the job. Up to five public forums are scheduled between Sept. 22 and Sept. 28.
President Greg Geoffroy has announced plans to step down next year.
