Iowa State Patrol tells drivers to stay off the roads
The Iowa State Patrol announced that drivers in northeast and north central Iowa should stay off the roads tonight.
A release from the Iowa State Patrol headquarters said that towing services will be prohibited on major roadways including highways 20, 3, 151, 218 and 63.
With below freezing temperatures, winter precipitation and winds stronger than 20 mph, troopers said roadway conditions are very slick.
