Iowa regents to deliberate ‘teacher termination hearing’

The Board of Regents will meet by phone Wednesday 'to deliberate and render a decision in the matter of a teacher termination hearing held on April 23.”

Details about the teacher termination hearing, including information on the person and institution involved, have not been made public. Most of Wednesday's telephone board meeting - including deliberations - will take place in closed session, according to the Board of Regents Office.

At the conclusion of the closed session, however, the board will convene in open session and take action, as required by Iowa law, according to the board office.

The meeting, scheduled to originate from the board office in Urbandale at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, will be live streamed on the board's website at www.regents.iowa.gov.
