A 47-year-old man has been arrested, accused of trying to steal $277 worth of meat from a Des Moines grocery store.
Authorities say William Taylor is charged with robbery and possession of an illegal drug.
The Des Moines Register reports officers were sent to a Fareway store about 10:45 a.m. Monday.
Store employees told officers that Taylor had struggled with them and threatened to pull a firearm if police were called. Police say Taylor had a box cutter on him, but no gun.
Officers say a marijuana cigarette was found in one of Taylor's pockets at the Polk County jail.
Online court records don't list the name of his attorney.
