CEDAR RAPIDS - A 47-year-old Iowa City woman is accused of second-degree robbery after authorities say she shoplifted and then fought with a security guard at Gordmans on Friday evening in Coralville.
Reports indicate that Ophelia Clemons, of 1053 Crosspark Avenue Apt. A, Iowa City, was allegedly observed concealing perfume valued at $54.98 in her purse around 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
After leaving the store, Clemons was confronted by store security and allegedly shoved the guard several times in an attempt to escape his detainment, Coralville Police said.
Clemons was being held at the Johnson County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond on Sunday morning.
