An Iowa City woman was arrested on suspicion of aggravated theft after authorities say she stole liquor and assaulted a staff member at an Iowa City Hy-Vee on Tuesday.
Reports indicate that Trishon L. Harvey, 43, address unknown, had to be restrained by two staff members at the Hy-Vee at 812 S. First Avenue in Iowa City after she tried to steal three bottles of liquor from the store at 6:48 p.m. Tuesday.
Harvey allegedly placed the liquor in her bag before attempting to leave the store. When told to stop by staff, Harvey gave back one bottle of liquor, but then tried to force her way out of the store, assaulting one of the staff members in the process. In total, $76.97 worth of liquor was in Harvey's possession, Iowa City police said.
Harvey was being held at the Johnson County Jail on a $7,500 cash bond Wednesday morning.
Harvey was also arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated, driving while license revoked and assault on a peace officer on July 6 after
authorities say she was uncooperative with officers during an incident at CVS Pharmacy.
