Iowa City to discuss traffic enforcement cameras
The City Council Monday night formally agreed to discuss red-light and speeding cameras at a future work session.
The move was expected after City Manager Tom Markus earlier this month included a handout on traffic enforcement cameras in an information packet that goes to council members weekly.
The council only briefly touched on the item Monday night. But it's already clear there are differing views on the cameras among its seven members.
A date for the camera discussion is to be determined.
