Iowa City schools boss interviews for job

IOWA CITY - Iowa City school district Superintendent Lane Plugge is interested in another job.

It's the chief administrator position at the Green Hills Area Education Agency. That is a new AEA, resulting from the merger of two existing ones, and is to be headquartered in Council Bluffs.

Since posting the story, I've heard with school board President Patti Fields. She said in an e-mail message that Plugge told the board about his interview and "we will move forward and stay focused on our budget challenges ahead, whatever the outcome."
